Choosing An Affiliate Program

make money online with a low budget
If you are an affiliate marketer, you understand that choosing the wrong affiliate program will cost you time and money. You won't be successful if the offer you are promoting doesn't convert or the affiliate program owner is dishonest. This can be incredibly frustrating. Imagine building a website and spending money on adwords to promote it, only to find that it is a dud. If  you are working with a limited budget, this can be devastating. While there is no way to be absolutely sure that a product will convert, there are some ways to lower your risks.

Carefully Research Your Niche: Before you choose an affiliate program to promote, be sure to do your research. Is the niche a buying one? Does your product offer some type of solution to a burning problem? Is there a lot of competition? Answering this questions will help you determine if you have a niche worth pursuing.

Check The Gravity: If you are considering promoting a product in the Clickbank marketplace, be sure to check the gravity. This will tell you how many affiliates are promoting that product. If there are a lot of affiliates promoting a product, it is probably converting pretty well.

Start Small: Never spend a lot of money promoting an affiliate product before you determine if it will make you money. Instead, start small. If you are going to use pay-per-click to advertise your product, start with a small budget.

Start Free: Even better then starting small is starting for free. There are many ways to advertise your site for free. Some of the very best ways include, article marketing, social network sites and advertising on free classified sites.

Consider Reputation: Only spend money promoting affiliate programs that you trust. Instead of starting off using independent affiliate programs, try to use big networks such as Clickbank, Commission Junction and Linkshare.

Check The Sales letter: Take a careful look at the sales letter of the product you are selling. After reading it, does it make you want to buy it? Does it look professional? If not, skip it. If it doesn't convince you to pull out your wallet, it probably won't convince anyone else either.
