Ways to Make Money That Will Cost You Nothing!

The best way to make money online without spending a dime is with affiliate programs. This is where you help promote someone elses products and get a percentage of the sales when you direct a buyer to the site.

The best place to find affiliate programs is Clickbank.com. They have thousands of digital products for you to promote. First of all, you need to sign up before you can promote so, if you haven't already, click the sign-up link at the top of the page and follow the instructions. After you've signed up, click on the promote products tab and then click on the Marketplace link. From there, select one of the categories and you will then be shown the top 10 products for that category. It's these products that you will want to promote, because they have shown to have the highest success rate among products at Clickbank.com. So choose a product and we'll move on to the next step.

So now that you have a product ready to promote, it's time to create a webpage with a clever sales pitch. First you need to download BlueVoda Website Builder (which is free). The best part about this webpage builder is that you don't have to know anything about HTML or web design...it's based on the WYSIWYG notion (what you see is what you get!). You may want to read a couple of the tutorials before you start, if you are not familiar with WYSIWYG web design....although it's pretty easy.

What we're going to do now is create a promotional letter to put on your webpage....not to be confused with sales letter. There are 5 aspects to a good promotional letter that you should include:

GIVE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT: People are looking for easy solutions to their problems. Tell them about the ease of use. Most people don't want to be told that a system takes hours a day....they want automated systems that work for them!

CREATE URGENCY: Make people think that if they don't buy the product now it might go up in price or off the market! If a person is led to believe that there's even a slight chance that the product could be $20 more tomorrow, they will be more likely to buy today!

APPEAR TO BE AN EXPERT: Make them believe that you are an expert in your product's field. They will trust your opinons more! No one wants to hear what Joe Blow has to say about the product. They want to hear about results, figures and dollar signs!!

BE COMPLETELY UNBIASED: Don't make it seem like you're affiliated to the product, you're just helping people make a informed decision.

MAKE THEM FEAR OTHER PRODUCTS: People fear scams! Tell them you've tried other programs, and how they didn't pay! Chances are this has actually happened to you....I know it's happened to me! Be careful about naming names, you don't want any trouble!!

If you use these 5 aspects you should have no problem generating sales! Keep in mind that you are not trying to sell the product(s), you are just giving visitors your 'expert opinion'. It's important that if and when they click on your affiliate link; they do so with an open mind. That way when they read the sales pitch from the product's website, they haven't already made up their mind (and are more prone to buy!). Just remember to put your affiliate link at the bottom of your letter.

Now that you have your webpage looking good, it's time to find some free webspace to put it on! One of the best places that i've found to search for free webspace is FreeWebspace.net (go figure!). Click on the link provided and you will see that you have over 500 choices for free webspace. The best ones to choose are the ones that don't display an advertisement above your page (the ones that say No Ads under the Ads section). All you have to do now is pick a domain name (relative to your product) and upload your webpage and you good as gold.

A LITTLE ADVICE: If you plan on submitting your website to multiple webspace servers, make sure to change the content on each of them. The search engines penalize websites for having the same content as another site, so try to make your content unique. I recommend submitting a variations of your site to many webservers, because the more times you get your link out there, the better chance it has of getting clicked on! Also, complete these steps for as many affiliate products as you can as well....with this free method, it all boils down to numbers....the more pages you have online, the better chance of making some money!

Another great place to advertise is social networking sites like Facebook and My Space. All you need to do is set up a free profile (be sure to put you links on the page) and search for people that may be interested in the products you are promoting. Try not to make it seem like your spamming or you may have your account suspended.

You'll also want to set up a free blog at blogger.com or Wordpress.com about your product(s). Be sure to include your links and make regular posts so the search engines will index and continue to crawl your blog.

Finally, posting in forums (with a link in your signature) is a great way to get free backlinks to your site or promote your affiliate link. I currently post quite often at DigitalPoint, which is also a great place to learn about making money online. You may also want to try TalkGold and SitePoint which are also very popular forums.

I know this looks like a lot of work, but take your time and pace yourself. You could easily create 10 webpages in a couple of hours. Do that over a couple of weeks and then spend the next couple of weeks submitting your sites to Search Engines and Directories.
